Nadia Akil

CEO and Vice Chairperson

Nadia Akil brings a wealth of experience to United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC). Since being appointed Chairperson and CEO in 2012 she has been responsible for the overall operations of UPAC in Kuwait, including three BOT contracts that encompass 24,000 sqm of commercial and retail space in prominent locations. In her leadership role she has revitalized the company’s internal structure and functional operations. Now she is focusing her astute business acumen on driving business development initiatives and overseeing shared services, such as finance, human resources, information technology and marketing.

After joining Agility Logistics in 2006, Nadia held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently she served as a director on Agility’s Executive Projects Team. In this role she concentrated on identifying growth areas, business development opportunities and operational efficiencies. Earlier, she managed mergers and acquisitions within Agility’s Investments Group. Prior to Agility Nadia was in the Global Wealth Management Group at Citigroup, London, where she managed over 20 private client portfolios and developed product strategy.

Nadia graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs. She earned her master’s degree in New York City from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs with a concentration in finance and business. Nadia’s work has been published in a professional journal, and she has participated in several sessions of the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland.
